    I agree with much of this! But I’d just like to emphasise too that there is a great value in life-long singleness: not everyone’s path needs to lead to marriage in the end. That’s especially the case for Christians who are given what Paul calls the "gift" of singleness (1 Corinthians 7:7), and who Jesus says "have renounced marriage because of the kingdom of heaven." (Matthew 19:12)
