Salvation by Sport

I am thoroughly enjoying the Olympics! As well as the variety of sporting excellence and the British successes I was intrigued by the Opening Ceremony, the first I’ve ever watched. I was particularly struck by (1) how talented Rowan Atkinson is; (2) how essentially liturgical much of it was.
